Our Curriculum

  • Kindergatens (Language of instruction) Our youngest learners in Nursery* (3 years of age) enjoy a unique bilingual environment with an English/Khmer speaking teacher, and one Khmer speaking teaching assistants. Both languages are integrated into classroom activities, preparing children for our Pre-Kindergarten (3 years of age) dual language immersion model. In Pre-Kindergarten, morning classes are conducted entirely in either English or Khmer, while afternoon classes are conducted in English only (providing full day students with a dual language immersion model where desired). From the age of four, students can either enter our English immersion programme with daily Khmer or English lessons, or our bilingual programme where students learn equally in three languages Khmer, Chinese and English.
  • PrimaryUnderpinned by the Primary Years Programme (PYP) framework, our primary school curriculum supports each child in reaching their personal potential. Our interdisciplinary, inquiry-based approach teaches students to take ownership and responsibility for their learning. They are able to think deeply about issues, work collaboratively, solve problems creatively, and communicate across a variety of media.
  • SecondaryIn the MYP, students are encouraged to make practical connections between their learning and the real world. They develop understanding in traditional subject areas and see the relationships between them. We help our students develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes essential for success in the DP. Spanning Grades 7 to 10, the MYP consists of eight core subjects: Language and Literature in English or Chinese, Mathematics, Science, Individuals and Societies, Language Acquisition in French, Chinese, Spanish or English, Design, Arts - Music, Drama or Visual Arts and Physical Education. Students are also required to satisfy the ‘Community and Service’ (CAS) elements of the programme.
